Q: WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY CLASSES?
A: For your first class, please arrive 5-10 minutes early to give you time to fill in our paperwork
Q: WHAT DO I WEAR?
A: For your first couple of classes, wear whatever you feel most comfortable to exercise in. You’re instructor will let you know when they need you to wear something else. For Aerials, we recommend leggings, and singlets or t shirts. For Pole, we recommend loose fitting shorts, that can be moved away to expose your skin when needed to grip the Pole. We do sell appropriate clothing at our studios. Feeling a little nervous about eventually getting in to shorts? Have a chat to us about your options.
Q: DO I HAVE TO WEAR HEELS?
A: Not at all! Although they are super cute and fun to dance in! Please don’t bring regular heels from home to the studios. We do sell Pole Dancing heels at our studios, which won’t harm our poles and floors like regular heels often can.
Q: WHAT DO I BRING?
A: Water! We do also sell this at the studio. Please leave your jewellery at home. Oh! And your A Game! You’re about to have a bundle of fun with us!
Q: I’VE PAID A DEPOSIT, HOW DO I PAY THE REST OF MY FEES?
A: We offer the following payment options. Cash, EFTPOS (minimum spend is $15), Bank Transfer, an Online Invoice or through a Credit Provider – Humm. for Bank Transfer, an Online Invoice or Humm, please contact us on 0455 726 966. For Cash or EFTPOS, please ask one of our friendly staff to help you!
Q: WHEN ARE MY FEES DUE?
A: All fees are due in full by the end of your 2nd week of courses. Should they not be paid by then, you will begin accruing weekly late fees of $20.
Q: CAN MY FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER WATCH MY CLASS?
A: No I’m sorry. For the comfort of all our customers, we don’t allow spectators. We do however offer a “bring a friend week” which you can bring them to! Or bring them to our next $5 sample class!
Q: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I FINISH MY COURSE?
A: We hope you enjoy your time with us, and if you decide you want to continue on, you’ll need to re-enrol when the next course timetable comes out. You’ll move straight up to Beginner A. Our timetables comes out in Week 5-6 of each term. We recommend booking in as early as you can to avoid missing out. We don’t reserve spaces without $100 deposits. Sometimes people’s availabilities change, meaning if you aren’t quick with your booking, you could easily lose your spot.
Q: I THINK I WANT TO DO MORE THAN 1 COURSE, HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT? DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?
A: Yes, Yes, Yes! You’ll be able to find our current prices, discounts and packages on discord under our pricing channel.
Q: WHAT IS HUMM?
A: Humm is very much like AfterPay. You can use Humm for anything at the studio! Shoes, Clothes, Grips, Classes, Private Lessons, etc. There is a surcharge to pay through Humm. It’s approximately $5 per every $100.
Q: HOW DO I PAY WITH HUMM?
A: Head on over to the Humm site and create yourself an account. Once you’re ready to make a purchase, please contact us on 0455 726 966 to arrange it.
Q: I CAN’T FIND A BABYSITTER, CAN I BRING MY CHILD TO CLASS?
A: We love children. But unfortunately it is not safe for you children to attend the studio while you’re in a class. Too many things can go wrong in the class environment where your child could be hurt. They can also distract other students in class and we can’t have that. Leaving them unsupervised in our Reception Areas is not an option, so please find someone to mind them or please miss the class.
Q: I FEEL VERY UNFIT, SHOULD I GO TO THE GYM ASWELL?
A: Any additional fitness will help you, however, don’t go signing up to the gym just to help you with pole or aerials. the strength we do at the end of classes will have at least one thing you can regularly do at home. these strength exercises are there to help you on your journey.
Q: CAN I CONTINUE IF I FALL PREGNANT?
A: This is different for every individual. You will need to ask your doctor for permission.
Q: I’M GOING TO MISS A CLASS, CAN I DO ANOTHER CLASS OR MAKE UP?
A: We don’t offer make up classes. We do offer top up classes. They are the ability to come another night without having to commit to an entire second course. Normally $22.50, if you miss a class, these become $10 but you need to do your level or below in the same apparatus.
Q: I WANT TO BUY “INSERT ITEM HERE” BUT YOU DON’T HAVE MY SIZE OR I DON’T LIKE THE STYLE, CAN YOU CUSTOM ORDER FOR ME?
A: Yes, you just need to contact us via direct message on discord and we will either stock transfer or get it from our suppliers for you.
Q: MY FRIEND WANTS TO GO TO A SAMPLE CLASS, CAN I GO WITH THEM?
A: Of course! We would love you to bring them to samples!
Q: I MISSED/AM GOING TO MISS MY CLASS, HOW CAN I MAKE UP FOR IT?
A: Unfortunately we don’t offer make up classes. If you know in advanced you’re going to be away, you can attend the same course in the same week (subject to availability) for $10. Just book online at www.polequeens.gettimely.com under casual course attendance (it will tell you its $32.50, but only charge you $10). If you’re unable to make these, it is your responsibility to catch up on the content you have missed via Private Lessons. Please understand that we teach off a structured syllabus and progress tricks, combos and dance routines from week to week. By not attending your class or a Private Lesson, you will fall behind as your instructors are unable to dedicate the additional time to catch you up to speed with all the content you missed, while trying to teach the new content for the week. Privates can be half an hour or an hour, or split with someone. Feel free to post in your local studio group to see if anyone wants to join you.
Q: MY CLASS FALLS ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY, DO CLASSES STILL RUN?
A: We run our courses 48 weeks a year. We don’t run courses during the Xmas/New Year period, and will continue to run classes during the Easter period.
